The shares went to a new high after IG issued an H1 trading update to 30 September that said it is confident of delivering the expected double digit growth in revenue and operating profit this year.Growth should mainly be driven by the US, which accounted for about half the group’s earnings and is where IG continues to focus on cross-selling and operational synergies. Investment in a new high speed printing press in the US should enhance output and capacity once it is commissioned in November. A second UK not-for-resale bag production line is also being planned and will come online next year.Year end debt is expected to show further improvement against the prior year, from 1.3x adjusted EBITDA a year ago to 1.1x.
