In the light of latest interims, brokers rushed to upgrade once again. Revenue is up 23% to £205m driven by organic growth of 4% and the acquisition of Impact. Pretax profit grew by 76% to £18.5m and eps by 79% at 19.5p. Net debt at the period end was £100m reflecting the £57m acquisition of Impact.The eye-opening detail was that margins expanded across all regions, with IG achieving an underlying EBIT margin of c.9.3% (up from 6.7%). This was driven by a shift in sales mix to higher-margin products, manufacturing efficiencies supported by the state of the art printing press installed in the Netherlands and the successful integration of Impact during its peak trading period.
