October holds a reputation in the stock market as a month of violent declines; with the famous stock market crashes being in October 1929 and in October 1987. This time round we didn’t see wholesale panic selling albeit the potential is there so if you haven‘t done so already, ensure you do take some profits especially in the high flyers.
