A trading statement issued on 20 January confirmed that trading conditions stabilised in the final quarter of 2002, with two new Infolease licences signed in December. IDS reported similar good news in November when it signed its largest ever licence extension to an Infolease contract. These contracts plus recent restructuring mean thatnet debt has been reduced ahead of directors expectations to £14.2m. Inaddition, IDS announced that former chairman, John Hubert, who took temporary leave of absence in November 2002 to explore making a possible bid for IDS, has resigned for health reasons.  IDS remains in bid talks with its chief executive, also on temporary leave of absence, as well as a number of third parties. ...
