As we go to press, US troops are in the centre of Baghdad and the footsie is spiking towards 4,000.  Last month we warned any such move should be no more than a bear market rally. It has been a topsy turvy month, including both this sharp rally and a plumbing of new lows(the hourly low being 3,281). The quick recovery from 3,281 hasleft in place a shape for the whole bear market that raises the possibility that it is all over (in spite of our end-war rally warning).  Of course this appeals to the optimist in all of us, and there is a danger we give it too great a weighting.   TheUK stockmarket doesn't look bad value, but the US stockmarket remains problematical.  It is difficult to see how, goi ...
