Whereas Thomas Cook’s (TCG; 35.6p) shares fell by 70 per cent after it issued two profit warnings in the final three months and suspended its dividend, saying that last year’s summer heatwave saw demand melt as customers sunned themselves at home, On The Beach still met its forecasts.As the name suggests, On The Beach has a focus on beach holidays and has none of the costly overheads that come with a presence on the high street.
