Another that continues great guns is Nigel Newton’s Bloomsbury, which this month reported a record set of full year results, coming in ahead of the March upgrades. Sales were up 15% to £264.1m (9% organic growth) with a 16% jump in pretax profit to £31.1m with eps up 18% to 30.6p. The very strong performance saw net cash climb from £41.5m to £51.5m and the dividend is increased 9% to 11.75p. Non-Consumer grew sales 19% to £97.4m with a 43% increase in pretax profit to £13.1m, underpinned by Bloomsbury Digital Resources, which grew sales by 41% to £26m (+18% organically).
