Volex - Murat Ticaret deal completes earlier than anticipated

Two excellent pieces of news sent the shares spiking. First, Volex said it has received competition authority clearances in both Turkey and Macedonia for the acquisition of Murat Ticaret. This has come in almost two months ahead of expectations and now means this hugely eps accretive deal will contribute much more than analysts had initially expected. Separately, Volex has been appointed as a global manufacturer of Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector, which Tesla has opened up to allow other car makers and charging infrastructure suppliers to use including Ford.
