Volex - Three deals being worked on

Since I wrote about Volex just over a year ago, the shares have spectacularly caught the imagination. An important factor in my earlier enthusiasm for the shares was the genuinely new and high growth areas the company had targeted - supplying charging cables for electric vehicles (EVs); high-specification copper cables for hyperscale data centres; and complex assemblies (such as electronic components, printed circuit boards and sub systems) for many leading OEMs in the medical sector.What is particularly exciting now is that interims in November showed EV revenues up by 77% to c.US$13m (zero in 2018) even though its main customer, Tesla, had its factories shut for two months of the year when revenues were nil.
