  July came and went, and foreign private equity suitors continued to circle London-listed assets like vultures. Live bids this year have smashed through £70bn in just seven months - double the £35bn deployed in all of 2025. In the small cap world, bids for Pinewood, Ramsdens and Gooch have accompanied those for Easyjet, Segro, Mitie and Rotork.  Overall, the mood has brightened up massively (Burnham Bounce/ Trump bounce ahead of mid term elections/cyclical recovery?)
