GB has reported results for the year to 31 March. Pretax loss was £283,000 after significantly increased costs associated with the emerging authentication business, URU, of approximately £767,000. Sales in the year were £11.2m, slightly down on the year earlier figure of £11.9m but there has been quite a significant change in the mix of revenues and the nature and scale of GB’s operations. The two historical businesses comprising data integrity and data solutions together accounted for sales of £10.6m, down from £11.9m with part of the sales decline following a decision to discontinue low margin, third party software sales.
