Renew's full year results to end September were a far cry from the fairly horrible ones we saw way back in 2006 when we visited the vast vaulted Cornhill office in the City that Renew occupied back then. The company was a total rag bag at the time (share price was miserable c.40p) but under chief executive Brian May and finance director John Samuels, the duo have continued their process of asset reallocation.Sales in the latest year were down by Â£3m to Â£334m with further controlled shrinkage on the construction side (down Â£20m to Â£102m) being replaced by growth in its specialist engineering business (up Â£18m to Â£232m).
