Supreme - Sells Red Astaire vape brand for €4.5m cash

A bit of a coup for Supreme. This month’s IP transfer agreement sees it sell the Red Astaire brand to La Vape Professional (LVP), a French wholesaler of electronic cigarettes and e-liquids, for €4.5m cash. The brand had come into Supreme as part of its Cuts Ice acquisition last year, for which Supreme paid just £1.4m (undisclosed at the time to save the VC from embarrassment) so now Supreme seems to have recouped all the spend plus more. Supreme will continue to make the vape for LVP - so it still retains all the upside without having to navigate pushing the brand across Europe. LVP can’t go anywhere else to obtain the product and is responsible for transport costs. The deal guarantees a minimum of €15 million of revenue over five years. ...
