A frustrating performer for sure but not for long, I suspect. Broker Peel Hunt forecasts EPS of 5.8p this year, rising to 6.8p and 8.2p over the next two year but by looking at the muted share price reaction to Inspecs’ latest H1 results, you wouldn’t think it. CEO Richard Peck attributes some H1 softness to two temporary headwinds and investors haven’t been able to see beyond the noise. The first was tariff volatility linked to Trump-era policies, particularly an initial spike to 140% on Chinese imports into the US, which caused buyers to hold back on frame orders.
