MPAC’s FY24 results reflect early, albeit modest, benefits from its transformational acquisitions of BCA and CSi. These deals are expected to boost group sales by over 70% this year. BCA adds expertise in robotic food-handling automation (e.g. dough and pizza base movement), while CSi enhances end-of-line automation capabilities. Strategically, the acquisitions also provide access to a lower-cost manufacturing site in Romania, improving operational efficiency. Overall sales rose 7% to £122.4m, with c£8.7m attributed to the acquisitions, though a detailed breakdown wasn’t disclosed. Pretax profit increased 49% to £10.6m, and EPS rose to 35.2p.
