WJG has delivered a steady first-half in tricky markets. With interest rates remaining elevated due to the Iran conflict, there has been no real pickup in PBSA or build-to-rent transactional activity. Operating profit for the six months to March is therefore expected to land at a similar level to last year’s at £0.7m, with the usual strong second-half weighting anticipated. Net cash stood at a healthy £61m or 23.7p a share. Full-year profits will clearly depend on how many of the active opportunities convert in the coming months, leaving a range of possible outcomes. For now Peel Hunt is forecasting EPS of 2.3p, with 4.7p for the year starting 1 October. Strong hold. ...
