Xaar - Four forecast upgrades this year

The shares went into orbit after Xaar put out a trading statement. This led to Xaar’s fourth profit upgrade this year, which has seen forecasts more than double : Investec now forecast 40.7p for the year to end December against original expectations of 18.2p.With half of the world’s 12,000 ceramic tile printing lines in China, and an upgrade cycle to digital that started two years ago, Xaar has never been so busy. Chief executive Ian Dinwoodie says that only 30% of the Chinese lines converted to digital so there is still much to go for as the process continues.
