I spoke to CEO John Mills after Xaar put out FY22  results. These showed sales up 23% to £72.8m (8% organic before the contribution from FFEI and Megnajet acquisitions) with China lockdowns impacting its Ceramics sector printhead sales. Pretax profit was £1.8m despite continuing investment in the business. Results had been pre-flagged (see Feb issue) so I won’t really dwell on them but instead highlight two key operational changes that have now been completed for its printhead business. Firstly, Q1 saw Xaar reconfigure two of its four cleanrooms as non cleanroom space to be used for other processes.
