Another standout from the SCSW NAPS in the January issue: DEBS (DEBS; 25p) has upgraded EBITDA expectations to £50m - a £5m beat on prior guidance and effectively next year’s number delivered a year early. The upgrade reflects continued momentum in the Debenhams marketplace and a discernible acceleration in Youth Brands. Most notably, PrettyLittleThing’s turnaround is landing faster than anyone expected. Meanwhile, management continues to streamline the balance sheet through the disposal of non-core assets, steadily driving net debt lower. The shares moved higher - exactly as anticipated - and this looks less like a one-off and more like the opening act in a sequence of forward-momentum upgrades. ...
