Despite its biggest customer, Netflix, reporting a drop in viewers as lockdowns ended, ADF has reported strong maiden results for the year ended December. To recap, ADF provides serviced vehicle hire for television and film productions in on-location support for dramas and major features. CEO Marsden Proctor says Netflix is having to peddle faster to produce more content now they have other revals such as Disney and Amazon Prime. Comparisons are meaningless as the prior year saw prolonged closures but with a phased return to filming, for FY21 it was able to report record sales of £27.8m. Of that, £15.6m was main packages with £11.8m from extensions, which drove trailer utilisation. Pretax profit was £4.3m for eps of 4.6p. ...
