What Microlise (SAAS; 131p) does is straightforward enough. It sells a telematics device, hardwired into delivery trucks as well as onto tractors and JCB diggers, during or after assembly, that feeds data into a SaaS platform whenever the vehicles are moving. This data - covering everything from mileage and speed to driver rest breaks - is then processed through a suite of modular solutions used by fleet operators to optimise routes, cut fuel costs, reduce emissions, improve safety and ensure compliance with tightening regulatory standards (such as ensuring drivers take appropriate rest breaks).
