Auction Technology Group - Buys US art and antique marketplace for US$85m

ATG has acquired Chairish LLC, an online marketplace for art and antiques, for US$85m. Whereas ATG’s mainstay is auctions, Chairish is a leading list price marketplace for vintage furniture, décor and art inventory from dealers - a market 3x bigger than the auction market. In 2024, Chairish generated US$51m revenue from commission, seller subscriptions, marketing fees and shipping revenue (80% from the US and 20% from Europe). Chairish expands ATG's reach, adding 12,000 dealers alongside 4.5m monthly visits (vs ATG’s 2000 auctioneers and 25.5m monthly visits).
