Codemasters - Raises guidance again

Codemasters’ shares went over £4 after it said it will now beat even its recently upgraded expectations. As Jefferies notes, the “lockdown bump” is only part of the upgrade, which owes more to the success of the F1 2020 game, which only launched on July 7th but has set new records, both critically and commercially (at full price). The broker expects 15% growth in units vs. the previous edition and priceless free advertising as stars playing the virtual races has brought in new audiences. And there is real stamina because a lot of the new audience is likely to prove sticky. It raises its estimates for this year from 16.3p to 18.3p. There is a scheduled Dirt 5 release in October and a (beta) mobile game ...
