Another month, another upgrade for Shoe Zone, with full year sales to end October now guided to be >£156m, up 31% and pretax profit > £11m. Shoe ended the year with 360 stores, having closed 63 and opened 13 in favour of bigger and better ones. With stores seeing uninterrupted trading for a full 52 weeks (FY21: 36 weeks due to COVID related closures), store revenue shot ahead by 47% to £129.8m whilst Digital revenue at £26.4m was 14% lower as channel mix normalised.Gross margin was unchanged at 61.3%, a pretty formidable performance versus significant cost headwinds, most notably sea freight rates, which were as much as 10x their pre-Covid levels earlier in the year. Net cash of £24.4m is up £9.8m on the year after £4. ...
