Glisten has reported maiden results to 30 June, its first since flotation on AIM. The results themselves are pretty meaningless, however, given that Glisten acquired its first trading business, Glisten Confectionery, effectively a reverse take-over, just two days before the year end. Glisten Confectionery is a manufacturer of chocolate and sugar based confectionery and edible decorations . Ona proforma basis, assuming this business had been part of the groupfor a full year and allowing for head office costs of £0.4m, pretax profit would be £1.16m on sales of £14.3m. Earnings per share:9.7p. Given that Glisten Confectionery had cash of £0.5m last year,this gave rise to a small interest credit in the proforma numbers. ...
