Porvair has released its FY24 results, which were strong, sending the shares to all-time highs. Having seen guidance upgraded in November, despite what outgoing CEO Ben Stocks describes as “underwhelming conditions in the US” (which accounts for 45% of sales), Porvair managed to deliver a 9% increase in sales to £193m. Adjusted pretax profit was £22.7m, with EPS up 4% at 38.6p. However, this included £0.9m of remediation costs from flooding at its North Carolina site due to Hurricane Helene. Without these costs, H2 margins would have been 13.2%, in line with H1’s level, if the expenses had been treated as exceptional.
