Having agreed the sale of its Snaitech division to Flutter (see October SCSW) for €2.3bn, which compares favourably to the €846m it paid in 2018, Playtech has announced plans to return €1,750m to shareholders - an eyewatering 486p per share - through a special dividend on 12 June (now marked ex-dividend). The continuing business is now the B2B activities, a 31% stake in Caliplay in Mexico, plus the Sun Bingo contract and other B2C activities including HAPPYBET, which is for sale. Trading in the first four months is in line.
