Last month I pointed out how the demise of several rivals in the online music retail space in the UK and the EU had created a permanent void for G4M to grow into. It therefore wasn’t too surprising to see it report that Cyber Monday marked the highest revenue day in its history. Having had upgrades in June, September, October and November, expectations are upgraded once more to pretax profit of £8.3m and EPS of 28.7p. An update is due on 20 January and I wouldn’t bet against another one. The only problem with all this, of course, is that this year’s result has been bumped by a windfall from buying bankrupt stock and reselling it at a higher price.
