Reach perked up as it provided a brief update indicating it now expects full-year profits to exceed current market expectations. Defying a year of gloomy predictions that traffic would fall off a cliff due to declining referrals, digital revenue is projected to fall by only 1% from last year’s £130m. This resilience reflects a deliberate pivot towards “Google Zero,” with Reach increasingly monetising traffic from digital subscriptions, expanded video output and other off-platform audiences.
