FitzWalter Capital, a 21% shareholder, increased its proposed bid to 400p this month - its 12th offer since early last year. The offer was rejected by ATG as too low and it denied FitzWalter access to its books for due diligence. FitzWalter has therefore walked away from making a formal offer but not before renewing its broadside against ATG’s US$100m acquisition of US marketplace Chairish. Given that ATG’s H2 reported an acceleration in sales (+9% inc Chairish, +4% ex) versus H1 and a widening in EBITDA margin to 43%, the bottom may be in for the shares. Buy. ...
