The  decline in the stock market since August has produced a sequence of new issues failing to take off. In most cases it isn’t a case of there being anything wrong with the quality of the business and they could do well once investors become more cheerful. One such company is Ashtead Technology, a specialised tools, equipment and plant hire business to the subsea energy sector. Basically the kit it rents to customers allows wind turbines to be installed and maintained and is also used to inspect, maintain, repair and decommission uneconomic and mature oil & gas assets and there have been good volume gains in recent years as old oil wells are decommissioned and new wind farms installed as part of global decarbonisation strategies. ...
