Audioboom is a curious case of how high-growth potential can be overlooked on London’s AIM market. When broker Cavendish initiated coverage on the podcast platform and publisher in late 2021, the shares were 1,085p, and forecasts looked bullish: revenue was expected to double from US$26.8m to US$56m with a swing from a loss to a first ever US$1.7m pretax profit for FY21. Since then, Audioboom has weathered industry turbulence - including the advertising downturn of 2023 - and since returned to form, with this year’s sales set to top US$83m with pre-tax profit expected at US$4.3m.
