Promotional products and giveaways are items that companies typically give to customers and potential customers as advertising media for marketing purposes. The most popular products and gifts are typically off-the-shelf items with short delivery times such as pens, baseball caps, T-shirts, polo shirts, conference folders, calendars, key rings, wearables and printed umbrellas. The industry works by taking a blank low value item from a supplier, like a T-shirt (at a price of say US$2), and printing or applying a customer-derived design or corporate logo to that item and selling it on at a mark-up (say, US$6), typically via a Promotional Product Distributor (PPD).
