Tribal Group - First move into healthcare

Acquisitions are part of the reason why analysts have been rapidly raising their sights for projected profits for Tribal, which announced a further three deals this month, of which two were quite substantial. Tribalhas acquired FD Learning for an initial Â£7.4m (Â£6.9m loan notes plusÂ£0.5m cash) plus a Â£5m deferred based on performance. Theprincipal activity of FDL, which is based in Sheffield, is theprovision of IT solutions to the post-16 education and trainingmarket. FDL has contracts with one quarter of the 450 furthereducation colleges in England and Wales, including a number of longterm managed service contracts.
