Last month I touched on Volex (VLX; 350p), which is the largest supplier of vehicle charging cables to motor manufacturers. Speaking to finance director Jon Boaden, it is interesting to note that Volex is expanding its product set within electric vehicles.  As well as the grid cords, where it has a leading position, it has begun to sell products for the AC wall charging market (it doesn’t make the entire AC wall charging solution for customers but has begun to make key components for it). I just don’t think anyone has picked up on this or the fact that VW and other OEMs are launching their own wall chargers in FY22 (I suspect using some of these components).
