XLMedia has sold Webpals Mobile, a non-core business promoting apps and sitting outside the core verticals of gambling and personal finance. In FY18, Mobile delivered nil contribution. Under the terms of the sale, the buyer will repay US$1.9m of inter-company balances to XLMedia, which will be used for developing its publishing assets.Separately, XLMedia has appointed Stuart Simms as chief executive and Ory Weihs moves to a non executive director role. Institutions were baying for blood after the profit warning last year and perhaps it was too much for Weihs.
