If you own a kettle then the chances are you will have come across Strix’s products. The company has been around since the 1950s when it launched the first generation of its safety controls comprising a small, bi-metallic thermostat that breaks an electric kettle’s circuit and switches it off when the water reaches boiling point and also prevents a kettle from turning on when there is no water inside. Strix is the global leader in such kettle safety controls. On the face of it, Strix might have appeared to have already been ex-growth when it listed in 2017.
