Wincanton shot ahead after reporting that it continues to trade in line. The contract logistic side has had several new business wins including handling the convenience store logistics for Morrisons and Sainsbury's. In terms of its specialist business, the records management and fleet business performed well although the container business has been affected by on-going lower volumes.Full year results are due on 13 June with JP Morgan Cazenove forecasting eps of 17.8p for the year ended March and the same again this year, but it needs more positive noises on debt reduction for the shares to really catch fire.
