TP went to a new high after it completed the acquisition of two businesses that came as a single package. It has bought ALS Technologies (ALS) and Flexible Software Solutions (FSS) for up to £2.75m cash. TPG is finally using its cash pile (£9.2m at the end of Feb) albeit modestly as only £1.25m of the total consideration is paid upfront with the rest based on future performance.Bigger of the two is ALS, which  provides systems engineering, software and assurance services for the aerospace and defence market. ALS has a consulting led model with 70 staff, most of which have high security clearance.  It has   revenues of £4.3m and a pretax profit of £0.5m in its latest year.FSS i ...
