IG Design - Forecasts upgraded by 8%/9%/13% for next three years

The shares marched to a record £5 following results for the year to end March. Overall sales only went up 5% to £327m (6% on constant currency) but pretax profit grew 32% to £21.4m for eps up 20% to 21.8p. IGR also ended the year with a cash balance of £4.4m, up from the £3m last year despite funding capital investment of £9.4m.The previous periods’ capital investment, expansion of the higher margin partyware, giftware, celebrations and stationery ranges, increased scale and utilisation, and smoothing of seasonality all came together to lift operating margins by 1.4% to 7%.
